My Blog/Blogosphere

In all honesty I disliked the idea of keeping a weekly blog for this English class. I'm not much of a talker if I don't know you well so I can seem a little shy and I didn't enjoy the idea of putting my thoughts out on the internet for everybody to see. At first I started off talking about video games and some video clips and it became kind of hard to find a good subject to write about. I tried to make the layout of my blog the Chicago Cubs team colors but it looks pretty gay and is hard to keep your eyes focused on it. I'm a die hard cubbies fan though so I decided not to change it. Once the Cubs started the new 2009 season it was extremely easy to find something to talk about, definitely since they're off to a good start and then on I started to enjoy writing on my blog from time to time.

My favorite post has to be about my dream, "21st", birthday to Wrigley Field. I've been to a few games before when I was younger with my parents but I never got the chance to sit in the outfield bleacher seats. Growing up I've tried to watch every televised cubs game I can, watching fans in the outfield bleachers on a beautiful, late afternoon summer, with the huge stadium lights beaming down is something I want to be apart of someday. To make it even better, enjoying it on my 21st birthday, with the first beer I can legally buy with hot dogs and nachos, enjoying the night. Post game festivities would be even better walking down Waveland and Sheffield Avenue, shouting and yelling about a hopeful victory. Then walking into bars right next to the stadium where all the fans are finishing off a wonderful night. A dream that WILL come true!

To me a blogosphere is a huge network of networks that allows you to write and post anything you want to and may be viewed by anyone you want. Myspace and Facebook are two big starters of this blog revolution appealing to high school and college kids. This made it easier for friends to stay in touch and show off pictures and basically their whole lives out the public or private. Many different people have found their calling through the blogosphere world and have made it famous being who they really are, then others find it calming and relaxing to briefly take some time out of their hectic lives and write down what's on their mind or what has been bothering them.
