BSU or IU?

So latley I've been in a bit of a confusing part in my life. My girlfriend of 1 year is graduating from high school at the end of this year. Her parents want her to go to IU because they both attended and they both believe is a more credited college than Ball State. So my grilfriend and a bunch of my highschool buddies want me to make the move, but im not so sure that I want to do that. I have a few of my buddies from highschool that are in frats at IU and I know they are going to want me to join and I probably would if I went but im the kind of person that can easily get sidetracked from school work and go out and have a good time without even thinking about the consequences. My girlfriend finally said that if I decided I didn't want to go to IU that she would come to Ball State so that we would be together but in some ways I feel like I could be holding her back. I feel like we could try the long distant thing between colleges because we have already been doing that between Marion and here but I know im not going to want to do that for another 4 years. I like Ball State through the week with smaller campus and classes but IU would be awesome on the weekends. I guess im just a little scared to make the move and it turns out to be a bad one, but what if it's the right move.???

  1. If you're looking for advice: I'd say take the opportunity to attend IU (if these are the only issues), but learn to practice some self-discipline. Don't sell yourself short - you can do it. IU IS an awesome school. The partying has to fall back a little (not necessarily out of the picture, but maybe over to side note) - and you have to care enough about your personal dreams to find focus. :) Of course, you need to feel confident and comfortable wherever you are . . . Every day offers a million forks in the road. All we can do is keep stepping forward, right? And whatever we choose - NO regrets.
